Le Capinet

Dining Outside al-Fresco

One of the reasons we love France is that we share with the French such great passion for food and drink. One of the items left behind by the previous owner was a very traditional tiled top, concrete table (they left it because they couldn’t move it) that comfortably seats eight. Now moved from the front of the house to the rear terrace, where it has become a favourite spot for lunch or dinner, with its large parasol that one day will be replaced by a “yet to be constructed“ pergola. Next to it sits the, again too heavy to be moved, Polish kitchen range that now supports the gas BBQ/plancher. Many good friends have visited overs the years, overcoming their initial badly concealed horror at the size of the project, and joined us at this table. They have also accompanied us on the evolution of the Le Capinet project, as well as getting to know and love the Périgord area with us.
